This page is a guide to the events we have planned around our wedding. The days before and after are entirely optional — come along to as much or as little as suits you.

Please note that Japan operates differently to what many of us are used to — venues and bookings are subject to change. The ceremony on 5 November remains confirmed. We will keep you updated on anything that shifts.

An opportunity to meet everyone and settle into the city before the wedding. No obligation — join us if you're around.

    Food on us Spring Valley Brewery — Daikanyama A relaxed lunch inside a converted rail-track building in one of Tokyo's best neighbourhoods. We'll have pizzas on the table — drinks are self-pay, with craft beer flights ordered on iPads. Open in Maps

    Free Daikanyama & Nakameguro Two of Tokyo's most enjoyable neighbourhoods are right outside. Worth an afternoon at your own pace.

The Wedding

    Ceremony Re:Place Koishikawa Doors open at 12:30. The ceremony will begin at 12:45, with two Japanese traditions woven in as a nod to the city. Smart casual — feel free to dress as you feel most comfortable whilst looking the part. A layer is recommended for the cool afternoon. Open in Maps

November is one of the best times to visit Tokyo — cool, largely dry, and still beautiful as the autumn colour winds down. Mornings and evenings drop to around 8–10°C, so a proper jacket is worthwhile. Afternoons are mild and comfortable.
